We have heard it time and time again, keep fit, eat healthy and you’ll be happy but that’s not necessarily the case. Working out is not something that comes naturally to me and I would really have to get my head in the game to complete a half hour stint on the bike that currently gathers dust in the corner of my apartment.. That being said I’ll never say no to a challenge.
Like most businesses, we have a taken a hybrid approach to work at Revolution Four with a blend of working from home and being in the office which has proven to be beneficial not only for productivity but for our mental health and well-being. Encouraging each other to exercise is something that we have been working on as a team. I don’t know about you but since the Olympics began we have been glued to the tv, the number of incredible athletes that have been raking in the medals for Team GB is inspiring, so inspiring it’s led to us thinking more about how much exercise we actually do on a daily basis especially whilst working from home.
As a team we are all massive supporters of Team GB, so much so that we all created our own Olympic T-shirts branded for Rev Four at the beginning of the Olympics. (More so a bit of team building fun than anything) For far too long I had been putting off exercising while working from home but as I sat there and stared into the tv and watched 13 year old Sky Brown win a Bronze Medal for Great Britain I thought to myself, if she can do it so can I, well maybe not win a medal and become a professional skateboarder at the ripe old age of 33 but I could at least get up and get my heart pumping by attempting some exercises with the help of some everyday household items in my cupboard!
So, in the name of fun, I have taken on the exercise challenge and wanted to share with you wonderful people. Don’t worry if you’re not a fitness guru, just try a little bit of exercise, even if it starts out as a joke it will help to improve your mental health if anything which is something we should all be keeping an eye on these days.
We would love to know what you think and how you got on, or share your videos with us!
